When you want to remove background from an image you can have several options in GIMP, like Lasso tool, magic wand tool :P or even some plug-ins from G'MIC but let's face it the methods mentioned befere are great when your image has a decent quality and it is not very complex the foreground. But if you have an image with a bad quality or complex it is mandatory to use the powerful PATH tool. I have to be honest when I started with GIMP it was really hard to understand the way the Path tool worked. I was trying to use it as in INKSCAPE but it works a little different.
For this video I used an image from Harley taht is not very good in quality and it is quite challenging to work with. I think I will make a "narrated tutorial about using the Path tool to share with you
